Gold recovers, silver falls on bullish global advice
Mumbai, Nov 26: A mixed trend was seen in the precious metals in the opening session on Wednesday, Nov 26, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Gold recovered slightly by Rs 50 per ten gm at Rs 13,115 per ten gm on improved demand from local dealers, while silver fell by Rs 210 per kg to Rs 17,410 per kg amid poor buying support from ornament makers, traders said.
However, in London market, both the precious metals were down as gold was quoted at USD 811.00/812.50 (812.00/813.25) per troy ounce, while silver was at USD 10.27/10.28 (10.33/10.34) per troy ounce.
Following were the spot silver and gold opening prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,410 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 13,115 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 13,175.
