Former Punjab Cong chief keen to contest from Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, Nov 26 (UNI) Former Punjab Congress chief, Shamsher Singh Dullo today showed interest in contesting the next Lok Sabha elections from the Hoshiarpur constituency, which has been put in the reserve category following delimitation of constituencies.

"Though, allotment of party tickets for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections will be finalised by the Congress high command, but keeping in view the workers' response, I have finally made up my mind to contest the election from the Hoshiarpur," Mr Dullo said while talking to reporters here.

Mr Dullo said that a large number of local leaders and party workers had approached him and had requested him to contest from this seat. On their assurance he had finally decided to put my candidature before the party high command, he added.
