Coimbatore: Rotary to concentrate on infant mortality
Coimbatore, Nov 26: Infant mortality, water management and road safety are on the check list of the Rotary Clubs this year, said K S Pillai, former District Governor and convenor of 'Kalpavriksha', multi-district Rotary Foundation seminar on Sunday, Nov 23.
He said that on behalf of RI District 3201 the Rotary Clubs of Coimbatore hosted the Multi-District Rotary Foundation Seminar. The Rotary Foundation was a "Not for Profit" Trust of the Rotary International. The major Global Corporate Service Project taken up by the Rotary Foundation was on Polio eradication. About two billion children had been immunised world-wide through this project and the Foundation had spent about $ 700 million for this project.
