Chandra Prakash Singh appointed TNSEB Chairman
Chennai, Nov 26 (UNI) In a sudden move, the Tamil Nadu government today removed State Electricity Board Chairman S Machendranathan and appointed Mr Chandra Prakash Singh in his place.
An official release here said Mr Singh, who is the Principal Secretary, Transport Commissioner, is designated as Principal Secrtary, Chairman, TNEB.
Mr Machendranathan was transferred to the post held by Mr Singh.
The transfer of Mr Machendranathan comes a couple of hours after he signed a Joint Venture agreement with BHEL in the presence of Chief Minister M karunandihi for setting up a 1600 MW Thermal Power Plant at Udangudi in Tuticorin District at a cost of Rs 8,700 crore.
