Anchorage port workers call off stir

Kakinada, Nov 26 (UNI) The HMS led anchorage port steel barge workers union today evening called off its twenty-one-day old relay fasts stir, reluctantly agreeing for sharing of work as finalised at the joint meet held in presence of Minister for Fisheries and Ports M V Ramanarao at Hyderabad yesterday.

Vanamadi Virababu president of the union said the general body had decided to close the relay fasts camp in front of the Collectorate with immediate effect.

It was also decided to wait for the court's verdict on the vital issue of traditional cargo diversion to deep water port, for taking further course of action.
