Air India flights to Bangkok diverted
Mumbai, Nov 26 (UNI) Two Bangkok-bound Air India flights from Delhi and the city, had to be diverted to Utapao Airport in Thailand early today, following closure of Bangkok Airport in view of protestors seizing the airport, demanding the resignation of Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat.
An Air India spokesman said the passengers of these flights -- IC-853 from Delhi and IC-693 from the metropolis, were transported by road to Bangkok soon after arrival.
He said the two aircraft, presently parked at Utapao Airport, will be ferried to Bangkok for operating the return flight, if the airport is opened for regular air traffic movement today.
