Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Ninetyfive per cent enumeration of voters has been completed in 100 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, State Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao said today.

Talking to newspersons here after video conferencing with the District Collectors, he noted that in five districts the enrolment was little less than 80 per cent, and directed them to ensure over 95 per cent enrolment in the remaining 194 Assembly constituencies well before publication of draft electoral rolls on December three.

The final rolls would be published on January 10, he added.

Supplementary list would be periodically published thereafter to ensure voting right for those whose names were included in the list after this, he said.

He said booth level meetings would be conducted from December three to 18, with active participation of political parties to ensure that the voters list was flawless.

Individuals or parties with specific complaints could draw the attention of the District Collectors concerned over non-inclusion of eligible persons or inclusion of ineligible persons or deceased persons in the list, he said.

He said as many as 14,000 Post Masters, who were in a position to identify persons in their areas, were appointed as booth level officers to remove any discrepencies in the list.

The system of drop boxes, e-registeration and submission of applications through post offices for inclusion in the voters list would be a permanent feature in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts, he said, adding that, the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) would be given to applicants at their doorsteps within one month.
