Two students arrested for selling pistol
Rourkela, Nov 25 (UNI) Police have arrested two students from the Hanuman Vatika area of the town while they were trying to sell a single barrel pistol.
Rourkela Additional Police Superintendent S R Panda said Raghunath Palli police arrested Hemanta Kumar, student of Annamali Engineering College, and Soumendra Jena, student of BBA College Rourkela, last night while negotiating with a person to sell the weapon.
However, the persons negotiating to buy the weapon managed to escape.
Police also seized a laptop containing designs of different pistols from their possession.
Police interrogation was on to ascertain whether they had any link with the Maoists, Mr Panda said.
