Roll back prices of petro products: Naidu

Visakhapatnam, Nov 25 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that petrol and diesel prices be immediately rolled back.

Addressing a press conference here, before proceeding to Vizianagaram to participate in a 'Maha dharna,' he alleged that the schemes of the ruling Congress which were being projected as development-oriented, were in fact steeped in corruption.

The Congress-led UPA government at the Centre and the ruling Congress in the state had miserably failed to contain the soaring prices of essential commodities, Mr Naidu, who is also United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) convener, alleged.

Asked on the pre-poll strategy, Mr Naidu said his party and the Left parties would jointly work together for the welfare of the people.
