Madurai: Rain continues to drown residents
Madurai, Nov 25: Schools and colleges remained closed in the city as intermittent heavy showers and incessant drizzle bothered many.
Water level in the Periyar dam stood at 121 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 1,697 cusecs and a discharge of 1,025 cusecs. Tekkadi recorded the highest rainfall of 42 mm.
