LIC employees observe strike to press for wage revision
Shimla, Nov 25 (UNI) In response to call given by All India Insurance Employees Association, Class III and Class IV employees of Life Insurance Corporation of India today observed two hours token strike here to press for wage revision.
Northern Zone Insurance Employees Association (NZIEA) Divisional Secretary Devi Dass while addressing the employees outside the main office of LIC at Kasumpti here, condemned the "negative" attitude of the LIC management to settle the wage issues of the employees He alleged that the management was avoiding negotion with the employees to revise the wages, which are pending from August 1, 2007.
The employees warned to intensify their agitation if the mangement would not concede to their demands.
