Law college students file bail petitions
Chennai, Nov 25 (UNI) The Principal Sessions Court, Chennai, today adjourned to November 28, the bail petitions filed by the law college students, who were involved in a clash on November 12 for further hearing.
When the petitions came up for hearing before Justice Devodss, the City Public Prosecutor (CPP) Shajahan sought time to file his counter.

The students of the Dr Ambedkar Law College, who were injured in the group clash on November 12, were still receiving treatment in the Government General hospital. They moved anticipatory bail petitions before the Pricipal Sessions Court, Chennai.
On behalf of the three students Bharathi Kannan, Aiyathurai and Arumugam, their parents submitted the petitions stating that their sons were in the hospital in a critical stage.
The city police had registered a false case against them and were trying to arrest them and lodge them in prison. They could not understand what was going on, they contended.
Meanwhile, 26 arrested students, including one Chithirai Selvan, who was in the Royapettah Government Hospital, also filed bail petitions.
