HP launches second edition of 'HP Innovate 2009'

The award aims at boosting creative ideas among young engineering graduates across the country, according to a release here. It is an opportunity for undergraduate engineering students, interested in technology entrepreneurship, to present their innovative ideas in the field of computer science and engineering. It offers students a national platform to showcase their creativity and creates opportunities for channeling their potential.

HP Innovate invites research papers and prototypes from students in the areas of intelligent document processing, nanotechnology, cryptography, multimedia and gaming, embedded technology, network security, server virtualization and other disciplines.

Announcing the launch of ''HP Innovate 2009'HP Labs, India Open Innovation Office, Region Head Dr Vinnie Jauhari said that ''the launch of this year's program is a natural extension of HP's ongoing mutually beneficial relationships with academia and to help Universities drive innovation and create new models of success for integrating technology into learning.'' The winning team will win a sponsored trip to Palo Alto, USA and the opportunity to interact with eminent researchers at HP Labs, the release added.
