Five jawans killed in naxal encounter
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Nov 25 (UNI) Five constables were killed and one injured in a naxalite-triggered blast while they were returning after conducting repoll near Golavand village in Bastar district's Mardapal area this morning, police said.
The constables were en route from Mardapal to Kondagaon, where repoll was conducted yesterday, when insurgents set off a bomb and blew a bridge killing the policemen on the spot at around 1130 hours.
Additional police force has been rushed to the spot. Further details were awaited.
