Dallas Mayor to lead trade delegation to India

Washington, Nov 25 (UNI) Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert will lead a trade delegation to India to expand economic and technological cooperation.

Tom Leppert was invited by the Overseas Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi during his recent visit to Dallas, where he met Leppert and exchanged views on further strengthening people to people contacts between India and Texas.

Leppert expressed deep appreciation for the contribution of the Indian community to the economy of Texas and accepted Mr Ravi's invitation to visit India.

The Overseas Affairs Minister had extensive interaction with the Indian community in Dallas and neighboring areas and briefed them on the services of his ministry for NRIs/PIOs.

Ravi invited the community to participate in the forthcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Chennai.
