Congress orders expulsion of 39 rebels in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 25 (UNI) The Congress has expelled 39 rebels for contesting December 4 Assembly election in Rajasthan against the party official nominees.
The party has expelled four former ministers Digvijay Singh (Uniara), Parsadi Lal Meena (Lalsot), Hamida Begum (Churu) and Lalit Bhati (Ajmer South). Former MP Dwarka Bairwa (Niwai) and several former MLAs were also expelled, a party spokesman said.
The expulsion came after efforts to persuade them to retire from the contests, failed, he said.
