6 illicit liquor dens busted, 9 arrested in Kolhapur
Kolhapur, Nov 25 (UNI) Police today arrested nine people and busted six illicit liquor dens at Morewadi on the outskirts of the district.
The illicit liquor stocks and raw materials totally worth about Rs 60,000 were seized from their possession, police sources said.
District Superintedent of Police Chandrakant Kumbhar said police earlier had raided 17 liquor dens at village Mangaonwadi in Hatkanangale Tehsil of the district on November 14 and seized from them liquor stocks, raw materials and large number motor-cycles, used for supplying the illicit liquor.
