2 held for BJP leader's murder in Varanasi
Varanasi, Nov 25 (UNI) The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Uttar Pradesh police in association with local cops today arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the killing of BJP leader and former corporator Vijay Verma here.
Surendra Pandey and Mahesh Purohit, were arrested Superintendent of Police (SP) (city) D K Chaudhary said.
A pistol and a number of cartridges were also seized from them, he added.
On November 21, unidentified assailants had shot dead Verma and wounded his accomplice in Luxa area in Varanasi.
Search for other killers was on.
