VHP leader Togadia involved in Malegaon blasts?

Mumbai, Nov 24: After a series of arrests in Malegaon blasts probe, now Maharashtra ATS has zeroed on Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia in their latest probe. They said that Togadia's involvement may have gone beyond just the knowledge of blast.

Pravin Togadia has so far denied any association with blast accused. "I do not have any link with Malegaon blast suspect and have not provide any funds to the Abhinav Bharat. These allegations are however, defamatory and are baseless", he said in a press conference. His counsel has issued a legal notice denying his client's funding, or involvement in the Malegaon blast.

However, Mumbai ATS sources had claimed that Lt Colonel Purohit confessed that the VHP General Secretary was involved in the Malegaon blasts and had in fact funded Abhinav Bharat. Purohit is understood to have informed investigators of Praveen Togadia's role in the Malegaon blasts.
