Two foreigners arrested for not possessing documents
Coochbehar, Nov 24 (UNI) Two Nigerian nationals, booked under Fourteen Foreigner's Act for not possesing valid documents, were today remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
Superintendent of Police Devendra Prakash Singh said the Nigerian High Commission will be contacted shortly.
Damian Ude (34), a resident of Legaos, and Pius Imma (24) of Adia, had come to India to buy clothes for running textile business.
They claimed that they had lost their way and boarded a train to Coochbehar unknowingly. On reaching, they tried to put up at a hotel.
The hotel authorities, however, did not allow them for want of papers and instead informed the police.
They were detained yesterday and arrested today.
