Two arrested for raping woman at Western Command Hospital

Panchkula, Nov 24 (UNI) The Haryana Police today arrested two people, including the incharge of Neuro Surgical Ward of Western Command Hospital, for allegedly raping a woman at the Command Hospital in Chandimandir.

The third accused in the case was still at large.

According to police, a 38-year-old woman, wife of an Air Force personnel posted in Jamnagar, had gone to Command Hospital for physiotherapy on November 22, where the incharge of the neuro surgical ward, Hautam Singh alongwith two other persons, including a nursing attendent Ifkhar Khan, took her to a room in the hospital canteen and allegedly raped her. The woman hails from Bihar and lives in Ramgarh near here alongwith her two children.

The woman's medical examination had confirmed the rape, following which the police had registerd a case against the three accused.
