Three-year jail term awarded to woman in Bihar
Patna, Nov 24 (UNI)A vigilance court Judge B K Srivastava today sentenced a woman to three years of rigorous imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000.
According to the charges, convict Urmila Yadav and her husband had amassased a wealth of more than Rs ten lakhs, disproportionate of their known income, when the latter was posted as a junior engineer in flood control division Khagaria from 1972 to 1983.
However, her husband S P Yadav died during the trial.
