Three-year jail term awarded to head clerk in Bihar
Patna, Nov 24(UNI) A special court today awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment to a state comercial taxes department head clerk and slapped a fine of Rs 4,000.
The judge of special vigilance court found Narendra Kumar Sinha, a head clerk at local Kankarbagh office, guilty under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, Narendra was caught red-handed by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a person for issuing no objection certificate.
