Raising storage level in Mullaperiyar dam pending before SC

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 24 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the State Assembly today that the case relating to raising the storage capacity of the Mullaperiyar dam was pending before the Supreme Court.

In a written reply, he said the government expected next hearing of the case on January 20-22, 2009.

Mr Achuthanandan said a special cell had already been constituted for handling the case.
