Mindteck to move 70 pc outsourcing work to India

Mumbai, Nov 24 (UNI) Mindteck (India) Limited, a global Technology and IT Services Company, has announced a change in its sales model by moving 70 per cent of the outsourcing work to India.

After a series of global mergers and acquisitions, the Company is now looking to consolidate its various businesses which will see more work being off-shored to India, a Company release issued here today said.

The Company has doubled its office space in India by opening additional offices in Bangalore and Kolkata during the last quarter and is now well equipped with complimentary services and delivery capabilities in multiple locations across the globe, post its recent mergers and acquisitions, the release said. These added capabilities are helping Mindteck offer cross-selling services to the mutual clients of all the recently acquired companies, it added.

Commenting on the development, Mindteck (India) chief executive officer and managing director Pankaj Agarwal said, ''Our sales model has changed a lot. Now, wherever we go, we try to sell 70 per cent off-shore and 30 per cent on-shore. Hence, the same team which was earlier managing 10 projects in the US, now managing 20 to 30 projects because a lot more work is coming to India.'' ''Before the global acquisitions, Mindteck had a major footprint in India with a very small footprint in the US, whereas Infotech Consulting had a presence only in the US. It made so much sense to combine them and have a much bigger footprint in the US, which has given a lot of opportunity to cross-sell,'' Mr Agarwal said.
