Madurai: Translate all good books to tamil

Madurai, Nov 24: Any good literature of different languages should be translated and published in tamil, so that we are exposed to to newer forms of knowledge and broaden our horizons, said Thangam Thennarasu, Minister for School Education.

Delivering the special address after giving away the 'Nalli Thisai Ettum" Awards he said that translations would take the richness of Tamil language to various learned forums in the world so that it needs to be encouraged.

'Thisai Ettum," a literary journal involved in translating literary works, with the patronage of Nalli Kuppuswami Chettiar has been giving away the 'Nalli Thisai Ettum" awards for translating Tamil literary works into other languages and works in Indian and foreign languages into Tamil for the past five years.
