Learnt about Pragya through newspapers: Advani
Indore, Nov 24: L K Advani, senior BJP leader on Sunday, Nov 23 admitted that he did not know Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and said he came to know about her only through newspapers. While addressing a poll meeting he objected the use of word 'Hindu Terrorism' and said that the government had failed to check terrorism.
In a public meeting in Sagar, sometime ago BJP's prime ministerial nominee said that the Sadhvi, who was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) in connection with the Malegaon blasts had been tortured by the police. He added that Pragya had sent him a copy of an affidavit on police torture and he also discussed it with the Prime Minister in that regard.
