Cong accepts BJP's challenge, complains EC on code violaiton

Bhopal, Nov 24 (UNI) Accepting the challenge of Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar to Congress to prove allegations brought against the party, the state Congress today said the party was ready to provide all evidences against the BJP.

''Mr Tomar must fix a time and place so that the Congress can give all proofs against the BJP in the public's court,'' state Congress spokesperson K K Mishra told reporters here.

Mr Tomar had challenged the Congress to prove allegations against the BJP during a press meet here yesterday. He had said he was ready to debate in open ground over the issue.

Mr Mishra also said the Congress had registered complaints with the Election Commission against the BJP for publishing an advertisement in local dailies with a picture of army tent, which was highly objectionable and violation of model code of conduct.

''The BJP had insulted the army by using their tent in an advertisement to fulfil their narrow political gains,'' Mr Mishra stated in its complaint to the EC and urged to scrap the registration of the BJP.
