BJP's minority unit demands white paper on counter-terrorism policy
Ranchi, Nov 24 (UNI) The BJP minority unit in Jharkhand today held a day long demonstration here protesting against unabated terrorism plaguing the country and demanded white paper on government initiatives to check the alarming trend.
Morcha president Sona Khan addressing a gathering in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office, urged the Centre to make public all destructive activities carried out by SIMI and demanded inquiry into the activities of other outfit formed in place of the banned organisation.
Mr Khan stressed the need of stringent measures to counter terrorism and expressed concern over the delay in exicuting death sentence to Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru.
Former morcha president Kamal Khan said, '' A terrorist was a terrorist and the government should not identify them with any religious community.'' BJP state president P N Singh criticised the Manmohan Singh-led UPA governmnt for toeing a soft line in tackling the issue.
Mr Singh said just to appease a particular religious community the government did away with the POTA.
