BJP accuses poor law and order in UP for leader's murder
Varanasi, Nov 24 (UNI) Mentioning the broad daylight killing of party leader and former corporator Vijay Verma recently, the BJP today poured vitriol at the Uttar Pradesh government for poor law and order situation in the state.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Luxa police station was already apprised about the threat to Verma, but as they took things lightly the killers succeeded in their attempt to finish him, BJP state president Ramapati Ram Tripathi said.
''The party activists would gherao the Luxa police station as part of an aggressive protest tomorrow,'' he said adding, the law and order situation was a complete collpase in the state and the criminals were roaming free.
On November 21, unidentified assailants had shot dead Verma and wounded his friend in Luxa area of the city.
