500 delegates to attend Syndicate Bank union meet

Kozhikode, Nov 24 (UNI) About 500 delegates from various parts of the country would participate in the 9th national conference of the Syndicate Bank Staff Union (SBSU) beginning here tomorrow.

Janata Dal(S) Parliamentary Party leader M P Veerendra Kumar, MP, would inaugurate the open session of the two-day meet, SBSU president Arup Tafdar told reporters here today.

CITU secretary W R Varadarajan, Bank Employees' Federation of India (BEFI) president P Sadasivan Pillai, General Secretary Pradeep Biswas, SBSU geneal secretary M S N Rao would address the gathering.

The confefrence would deliberate on issues relating to the banking sector such as privatisation, acquisition and mergers and employees' demands, including pension option, fresh recruitment and wage revision.
