3 arrested for offering bribe to voters in J

Jammu, Nov 24 (UNI) A government employee among Three people including a government employee, were arrested by police for offering bribe to voters to cast their votes in favour of an Independent candidate contesting from Kalakote constituency in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir during the second phase of assembly elections.

''Three persons were apprehended by police for luring and offering bribe to the voters and asking them to exercise their franchise in favour of an independent candidate Ashok Sharma, contesting from Kalakote constituency yesterday,'' sources told UNI.

The accused have been identified as Naresh Kumar, Jasbir Singh and Raju Singh (an employee in Doda Hospital), all residents of Jammu. Police also recovered Rs 3 lakh from their possession, the sources added.
