'Terrorism is India's biggest problem': PM
Badwani (MP), Nov 23: In an emphatic statement against terrorism, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday, Nov 23 labelled the scourge as India's biggest problem but assured that, while determinedly combating the menace, the Centre's United Progressive Alliance government was paying special attention that members of no particular community or segment were targeted sans reason.
While addressing a poll meeting in Congress favour here, Dr Singh did not refer directly to Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur's arrest in connection with the Malegaon serial blasts. Mentioning the country's secular character, the Premier said, ''the Congress is the sole party that reposes faith in a secular tradition. The country can progress in the true sense of the term only when minorities feel secure.''
