Srinagar, Nov 23 (UNI) In view of the directions from the Election Commission of India (ECI), no camera was allowed inside any polling booth in Ganderbal and Kangan assembly segments which went to the polls today.
''We have directions from the higher authorities not to allow any photo-journalist or videographer inside the polling booths along with camera,'' a security force officer told UNI photographer at a polling station set up near the office of District Electoral Officer (DEO) at Ganderbal.
Directions from the ECI to the State Chief Electoral Officer came following complaints that some photographers had taken photos inside polling booths during the first phase of elections in ten assembly segments on November 17.
