Works under NREGA under investigation

Gonda, Nov 22 (UNI) A probe has been launched into the alleged iregularities in the development works under National Rural Employement Gaurantee Scheme (NREGA).

The probe was ordered by the Uttar Pradesh government after complaints of people's representatives in this regard.

A team from Lucknow comprised of Additional Commissioner (Rural Development) and Deputy Commissioner S Chandra arrived here yesterday and conducted preliminary enquiry.
