Orissa: 2 contract workers injured in accident
Rourkela, Nov 22: Two contract workers were injured, one of them seriously, when they fell down from a height of 12 ft while fitting a plate in a gas tanker of the Rourkela Steel Plant on Saturday, Nov 22. While Pintu Ray, a contract worker of private organisation MICO, was admitted to Ispat General Hospital with serious injuries, his helper Rajendra Kumar Sahoo escaped with minor wounds.
This was the third accident in the RSP in the last one week.
One person died and three were injured after the pasted mud collapsed in the steel melting shop-II during the platform expansion work on November 18. As many as 13 workers were hospitalised the next day following a gas leakage.
