PDP condemns Baramulla killings
Srinagar, Nov 22 (UNI) Strongly condemning the killing of two unarmed protesters at Baramulla today, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today demanded stern action against the security personnel responsible for the dastardly act.
In a statement issued here today, a PDP spokesman said the security personnel seem to be enjoying spraying bullets on innocent Kashmiri youth to shed their blood. ''Such highhandedness can never be tolerated and the security personnel responsible for such mindless acts of blood-shedding should be stringently taken to task,'' the spokesman said.
The PDP spokesman said recurrence of such reprehensible acts is not only uncalled for but demands concrete confidence building measures to salvage the battered public dignity.
He said dealing with such incidents on case-to-case basis has proved quite inadequate in curbing the awful actions and it only reiterates the urgency of initiating political measures in tune with the public sentiment.
PDP spokesman said the party leaders express heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the families of the deceased youth.
