Modi compares BJP to Team India
Indore, Nov 22 (UNI) In his characteristic crowd-puller style, Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) star campaigner Narendra Modi linked politics with India's national passion cricket.
''Just as Team India's victory at Rajkot initiated a 'vijay yatra' that led to wins at Indore and Kanpur, the BJP has begun its vijay yatra by emerging victorious in the Gujarat assembly polls and the yatra will halt only at Delhi after traversing Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh,'' he said while addressing a public meeting here late last night while on the campaign trail.
Without referring to the Malegaon serial blasts in which a Lieutenant-Colonel stands accused, Mr Modi trained guns at the Centre's Congress-led regime for attempting to lower the morale of the Indian Army.
