Kamat congratulates Kelekar for Gyanpeeth award
Panaji, Nov 22 (UNI) Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat today congratulated the eminent Konkani writer and Padmabhushan awardee, Ravindra Kelekar, on whom Gyanpeeth award was conferred yesterday.
In a release, Mr Kamat said ''Ravindra Kelekar has brought a great honour and pride to the Goans by winning the prestigious Gyanpeeth award in the official language Konkani.'' Mr Kamat lauded Mr Kelekar's valuable contribution in the freedom struggle of the state as well as for the promotion of Konkani language.
