JK: Militants attack late NC leader's house

Srinagar, Nov 22: Militants attacked the house of a late leader of National Conference (NC) in the city on Friday, Nov 21 night, official sources said on Saturday, Nov 22.

They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards the house of late Mohammad Jamal Dar, former Block president of NC at Bazar Batmaloo.

However, it missed the intended target and exploded in the compound without causing any damage to life and property.

This was the first such attack in Batmaloo since the seven-phase election schedule was announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) last month.
