DTO remanded in judicial custody for 14 day

Fatehgarh Sahib, Nov 22 (UNI) A special court today sent B S Rana, Officiating District Transport Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib, into 14-day judicial custody in a graft case.

Rana was presented in an SAS Nagar-based court of Vigilance Bureau, which had nabbed him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a transporter at his residence here on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, an official of Information and Public Relations Department clarified that Rana was not PCS officer.

He was basically an ADTO and had been given officiating charge of DTO, he said.
