18 injured in road mishap on NH-I in Haryana

Ambala, Nov 22 (UNI) Eighteen persons, including 14 women were injured, two of them seriously, in a road accident near Dukheri, 8 km from here on NH-I today.

According to police sources, the accident occurred when a mini truck carrying 14 women and two others collided with a car in which two persons were traveling from Ludhiana to Delhi to attend a marriage. The truck was on its way to Sadhaura from village Darara Mehadipur to attend a 'bhog' ceremony.

Two of the seriously injured were admitted to the civil hospital here. The two car passengers, Gurpreet and Amandeep were admitted to the Cantonment hospital alongwith the other injured.

The police after registering a case arrested the driver of the truck.
