SP leader gets 10 years imprisonment for keeping Ganja
Jamshedpur, Nov 21 (UNI) A local court here has sentenced former state president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing Binay Singh to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for illegally keeping Ganja.
According to prosecution, police siezed 200 grams of ganja from a hotel owned by the leader from Sidgora area of the city in June 2000 and a case was filed against him and one of his aides.
Fast track court judge Sandeep Sharma held both of them guilty under article 20 of NDPS Act yesterday and imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on each of them along with 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
