HP seeks 22 lakh units electricity from central quota
Shimla, Nov 21 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has requested the Centre to allocate additional 22 lakh units electricity per day from central unallocated quota to the state to meet the growing demand of the energy during winter season.
An official release issued here today stated that Mr Dhumal called on Union Energy Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde at New Delhi and drew his attention towards the state's need for additional power supply from November to March as electricity generation decreases during winters due to drying up of water in dams in the state.
He told the Union Minister that the Centre had allocated 22 lakh units electricity per day during last year in the same period and requested him to follow the same procedure during these winters also.
