Congress show cause notices to dissidents

Hyderabad, Nov 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas today directed its Nalgonda district unit to issue showcause notices to five Congress Councillors for ''violating'' party whip during the 'no trust' motion against the Bhongir Muncipal Chairperson.

Mr Srinivas gave the direction based on the recommendaations of the State Inquiry and Screening Committee and gave a week's time for reply, a party release said.

Mr Srinivas also approved the list of Executive of the East Godavari District Congress Committee comprising 26 Vice-Presidents, 35 General Secretaries, 33 Executive members, 38 Secretaries, 34 Joint-secretaries and three spokespersons, the release added.
