Bogus voting reported, repolling recommended
Patthalgaon, Nov 21 (UNI) Repolling has been recommended in view of booth capturing and bogus voting at a polling centre at Chhatasarai village in Patthalgaon assembly constituency in Jashpur district last evening.
In a report sent to the Election Commission, election observer Sameer Kumar Vishwas has recommended repolling at polling centre number 210 last evening.
Mr Vishwas told UNI that unidentified people had barged at the polling centre and seized the Electronic Voting Machine. Fourteen extra votes were polled from the booth.
Presiding officer Mahavir Bhagat had lodged a complaint with nearby Bagbahar police station.
Bagbahar Station House Officer R P Sharma said a case had been registered against unidentified people under various sections of the IPC and the Representation of the People Act.
