3 boys get bail in peacock killing case
Porbandar, Nov 21 (UNI) Three of the four teenaged boys, who were arrested for allegedly killing a peacock at Hathyani village in the district, were granted bail by the district Juvenile court today.
Nilesh Rahensingh (13), Akash Sawant (15) and Dinesh Madan (13) were granted bail, however, the fourth accused Sunil Bhima (15) was sent to police custody, as his relatives were not present, sources said.
The quartet, all residents of Simroli village in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, were arrested by the forest department officials on November 19 while they were cooking the meat of the bird, they had stoned to death that evening near a pond in Hathyani village.
The four were working as casual farm labourers here, the sources added.
