New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Two Punjab and Haryana High Court Additional Judges have been made permanent by President Pratibha Patil, the Law and Justice Ministry announced this evening.
Justices Rakesh Kumar Garg and Rakesh Kumar Jain will be Judges of the Court in that order of seniority with effect from the dates they take charge of their respective offices, the announcement said.
A count last month showed 21 of 68 posts in Punjab and Haryana High Court to be vacant.
That averages roughly the same as the total for 21 High Courts across India-- 266 of 886 posts vacant or a 1:3.33 vacancy-strength ratio.
