Two presiding officials die of heart attack in C'garh polls
Raipur, Nov 20 (UNI) Two presiding officers deployed in the election process in the Raipur district died today due to heart attack.
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Alok Shukla said presiding officer Pyare Lal Dhruv, who was posted at Telibandh booth of Raipur North constituency, died of heart attack early this morning.
Similarly, another presiding officer K K Jena, who was incharge of Gariabandh booth in Rajim assembly segment, died due to massive heart attack just before the start of the polling.
Mr Shukla said replacement had been sent to take the post of deceased presiding officials and voting was not affected.
The family members of the deceased officials would receive compensation, as the Chhattisgarh Government had already insured all polling and security personnel engaged in the elections.
