Two-day seminar on IT at BAU from Nov 21
Ranchi, Nov 19 (UNI) The Birsa Agriculture University will organise a two-day seminar on Information Technology in Agriculture and Rural Development from November 21 at the varsity campus here.
Organising secretary of the seminar B K Jha said nearly 200 scientists from institutions like the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Hyderabad, Indian Agricultural Statistical Research Institute, New Delhi were likely to participate in the event.
Mr Jha said the main focus of the programme would be on research and extension, education, technological option for promoting, strengthening support in marketing rural finance and insurance and success related to IT in agriculture and rural development.
Besides, scientists from 10 state agriculture universities would attend the seminar.
